Olga Lucía is an economist with over 10 years of experience in international trade. She specializes in analyzing global trade regulations and providing technical representation for companies, business associations, and government entities before both national and international authorities.
Her expertise spans trade defense, the use of trade agreements, tariff policy, and regulatory affairs. She currently serves as Partner for Policy and Trade Advocacy at Araújo Ibarra, where she leads investigations related to antidumping, countervailing, and safeguard measures. She also advises companies on how to effectively leverage free trade agreements, rules of origin, tariff structures, internationalization tools, and export promotion mechanisms.
Olga has played a pivotal role in defending domestic industries against unfair trade practices in sectors such as steel, metalworking, oil & gas, and construction materials. She has also developed strategies to boost the international competitiveness of companies in the agro-industrial, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, petrochemical, textile and apparel, and automotive sectors.
In addition, she serves as a professor in the Specialization in Customs Law and Foreign Trade at Universidad Externado de Colombia.
